PourIQ — bar inventory, pour cost and margin
Start here: most questions are answered below, and most of them are one setting. If yours isn't here, use Feedback inside the app — it goes straight to us with your bar attached, so we can see what you're looking at.
Getting in
- Owners and managers sign in with an email address and password at /login. Forgot the password? Use Reset password on that screen and we email you a link.
- Bartenders and barbacks don't need a password. Your bar has a staff code — enter it once and the phone stays unlocked. The owner finds it in Settings, and can rotate it whenever somebody leaves.
- "Locked. Sign in first." means the device has never been unlocked, or the code was rotated. Ask a manager for the current staff code.
- A new bar starts at /signup. One workspace per bar; one bar per account.
Scanning and importing
- A bottle scanned wrong. Reading a label is AI, and AI is good but not perfect — every scan lands in a screen you can correct before it saves. Fix the size or the brand and save; the correction sticks to that item.
- An invoice parsed wrong. Same deal: parsed invoices go to a review screen on purpose, and nothing changes your costs until a human approves it. Edit the lines that are wrong, then approve.
- Sales won't import. Export item sales from your POS as CSV — Lightspeed, Toast, Square and Clover all do this — and upload it on the Import screen. If a column can't be matched the app says which one, rather than importing something wrong.
- Bad camera photos. Flat on the bar, no glare on the label, whole bottle in frame. A blurry shot is the single most common cause of a bad read.
The numbers
- Variance looks impossible. Variance compares what was poured against what was sold, so it needs both ends: an opening count, the invoices in between, and the sales for the same window. A missing invoice shows up as a shortage exactly its own size.
- Staff can't see prices. That's deliberate — devices that joined with the staff code don't see cost or margin until an owner grants it on the Team screen.
- The numbers are a tool, not your books. They're computed from what your team enters and scans. Check them before you make a call on them — see our terms, section 9.
Texts about your shifts
If your bar schedules with Lineup, it can text you when the schedule is published. Those texts only go to people who said yes — the consent box starts switched off — and you can end them yourself at any time.
- Reply STOP to stop the texts immediately. START turns them back on, and HELP tells you who's texting you.
- Your manager can also clear your number or untick consent on the staff screen. Message and data rates may apply.
- The link in the text is yours alone. If you think somebody else has it, ask a manager to rotate it — the old link dies the moment they do.
Billing
- Plans are billed through our website, per bar, at the price shown when you subscribe.
- Cancel any time — it takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't refund partial periods.
- Price changes get at least 30 days' notice and never apply retroactively. The full terms are in our Terms of Service.
Your data
- Delete your account or your bar: an owner can wipe the whole workspace from Settings → Danger zone immediately, or ask us — the how, and the address to ask at, are on our deletion page.
- What we store and who touches it is set out in our Privacy Policy, including phone numbers, shift texts, and how long anything is kept.
- Want a copy of your bar's data, or a correction? Ask, and we answer within 30 days.
Still stuck?
Signed in? Open Feedback in the app — it's the fastest route to us and it carries the context we need. Not signed in, and it's about your data, your account or a deletion? Those go through the deletion page and the Privacy Policy, which both name where to write to and what we do when you do. We answer within 30 days, and usually within a business day or two.
